Black Cat Flicks will initially function like a club and a film company. Our club name is "Signal Indie Filmmakers." That's because we won't be a film company until we produce and distribute film products we're proud to put our name on.

 

There will be few limits on the types of projects we will pursue. This includes all film genres including music videos. Be it a short, feature length, fictional or documentary our focus is on taking a great idea and marshaling our collective talent to turn that idea into a film that people will want to see.

Screenplays Under Development

"The Speed Trap Camera Bandit"

Genre: comedy

This hilarious short comedy follows a middle-aged man who leaves city life in Boston to pursue a more quiet, simple life in a small North Carolina town. That pursuit is dashed as he turns vigilante and battles city hall and a notorious sheriff.

"The Recruiter" 

Genre: drama

This emotional and heartwarming drama delves into the life of a depressed job seeker whose rage is unleashed on a struggling recruiter. Both form an unlikely friendship and affect each other's lives in ways neither could have imagined. This script can be adapted into a short or feature length movie.

"Raccoon Annie"

Genre: comedy/drama

This feature length dramedy is about a quirky and outrageous woman who has a knack for creating a stir in everything she does. She is often seen going about her daily life wearing a full-length raccoon coat. The coat is a facade that hides her innermost fears.

"Cats Cradle"

Genre: comedy

A man with a cat is short on happiness, stature, is unsuccessful with love but big on imagination experiences illusions of his cat Wanda morphing into a beautiful woman. Soon, he has trouble separating fantasy from reality. Short or feature length potential.

"Asteroid"

Genre: sci-fi

This is a big budget feature length sci-fi movie with a sophisticated and original plot rooted in science. What appears to be an asteroid has a close encounter with Earth. Following the supersonic blast, the asteroid appears to break apart. Still traveling at supersonic speed, the fragments fall toward Earth in all directions. However, they mysteriously begin to decelerate. Zev, an amateur astronomer and scientist struggling in his relationship with his girlfriend discovers something no one else has. When the NSA learns of Zev's secret another collision unfolds that brings Zev, the NSA, his girlfriend and the alien life forms together.
